According to one legend, this tea was given its name, when a dragon who was living in the villages temple well, was asked to save the village from a terrible drought. Everyone in the village was terrified of the Dragon, but one brave Taoist courageously went to the Dragon in the well and asked it to bring forth the rains. Almost immediately, the rain came from the sky, bringing much needed moisture to the villages tea plants.
Dragon Well or "Lung Ching" is known for its four incomparables... A beautiful leaf, shaped like a sparrows tongue, a lovely jade green color, a sweet and complex fragrance, and its pure flavor. It takes over thirty thousand young leaves to make a pound of Dragon Well.
